Getting A Good Close Up

Article

We have been talking in class about how to get a picture that uses the proper settings, and after reading this article, I started to understand that a little more.

She talks about how when you take this picture with a 300mm vs a 100mm with an f/5.6 for both.
What I really liked is how in the article it breaks down why the difference is noticeable. In the first picture you can see an outline of the trees in the background which distracts you. When you look at the second picture you can see how changing that lense allowed for the picture to have more impact on the viewer.

Now that we have talked about some of the ways to accomplish a picture like this, I am excited to get out and try to take some pictures with this new knowledge in mind!
