Week 3 9/7/17

Surviving for the Pictures
Article

This week I decided to look more into the life of a photographer and some of the things they go through to get the pictures they want.

This article is really cool because it talks about what Erez went through on his trip to Ethiopia. Something that I was really intrigued by was the lava lake. Just from the pictures he has, I think the way he was able to capture it was really cool, especially when it is that hot around them. Another thing that really stood out to me was this picture

where you can see all of the different colors that show up from the salt lakes. We have little things like this in Yellowstone, but I think it is crazy how different the colors can be compared to one another.

As for him shooting pictures in these conditions, it seems crazy. He talks about the dust being strong and making it hard to get a picture that wasnt poor quality, and it matched up to what we talked about with ISO and Aperture. I cant imagine what settings you have to try to adjust your camera to do when you have wind and dust that is that extreme. He also talks about how bright the lava lakes were and how he had to adjust things there as well. Very cool article!
